Survey Party Chief

Hudson Site Control, LLC is seeking qualified applicants for a Survey Party Chief opening. Construction Surveying experience preferred. Tuition reimbursement pursuant to an Associate’s Degree in Surveying certification is offered for qualified candidates. The opportunity to advance as a Survey Party Chief by utilizing UAS photogrammetry and Terrestrial LiDAR in Survey Field Mobilizations will be extended.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Be willing to follow instructions and standards set forth through Hudson Site Control’s land surveying procedures
Able to take instructions and perform them in the field efficiently.
Be a team leader for the crew by setting examples and managing instrument personnel
Be able to prepare and deliver all daily reporting activities electronically
Able to perform construction staking for various tasks
Be attentive and willing to learn
Excellent attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
Demonstrates organizational and planning skills while working under pressure to meet multiple project deadlines
At least two years of survey work experience as a party chief required
Must have topographical surveying experience especially on the civil design level
Must have knowledge and experience working with various types of boundary surveys, ALTA survey's, and plats
Experience using Trimble equipment and software products required (TSC3 & TSC7 Survey Data Collectors, DiNi, S6, & S7 Robotic Instruments, SX10 Scanner, R6, R8, and R10 GPS Receivers)
Ability to operate, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment, i.e. GPS Equipment, levels, conventional survey equipment, and company vehicles as required
Computer literate in Windows, Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel is required
Specialized vocational training or degree in Survey Technology is preferred
Must have a valid driver's license
Construction plans, staking/calculation experience
Solid understanding of legal descriptions and application
Experience in Autocad; Civil 3D or Carlson experience a plus
UAV/drone experience a plus
Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Supervise field crew and equipment
Field staking for earthwork, water line, sewer line, storm drain line, and paving construction including blue tops
Representative of the company on project site and report activity back to office personnel
2-5-year experience in construction survey or other related fields
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
