CVP is seeking a Speech Writer/Senior Communication Specialist to join our growing team. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Primary duty is to write speeches/talking points for senior government officials, including a deep understanding of the speakers’ tones, key messaging, and speech 
  • Draft talking points, briefing memoranda, fact sheets, and other publications 
  • Support management of requests for assistance, requests for speakers, projects and activities supporting stakeholder organizations 
  • Support participation in working groups, monthly and annual meetings and capture meeting minutes 
  • Develop materials about client's products and services 
  • Track and organize stakeholder engagements and provide recommendations to leadership 

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to obtain a high-level Public Trust clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • 3+ years of writing speeches or talking points for a senior government official 
  • Technical writing experience with notetaking for cybersecurity topics 
  • Experience writing briefing memos and talking points for senior government officials and cybersecurity specialists 
  • 2+ years of experience providing program specialist, communications specialist, program analyst, or business specialist support in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement support, especially with drafting stakeholder engagement strategies, scheduling speaker requests 
  • Demonstrated success in event management (in-person and virtual), including the logistics and planning 
  • Prior support to federal, state, local, territorial, and tribal governments, private sector partnerships, non-profit organizations, or international partnerships 

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with CISA and cybersecurity 
  • Experience with strategy 
  • Knowledge of project management/workflow tools 


Location

  • Hybrid role, requires 1-2 days onsite in Arlington, VA
