Position Summary: 

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform essential job duties with minimal supervision.  Must be able to perform a variety of duties including the physical and administrative task involved in receiving and shipping parts and materials.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities are essential. Other duties may be assigned and/or applied:

  • Receive and/or unpack delivered parts, materials and supplies
  • Confirms that the delivered goods match packing slip and purchase order specifications
  • Create Item Receipt in Accounting Software by electronically “receiving” goods
  • Forward Paperwork to Customer Service
  • Immediately report discrepancies, damaged or unsatisfactory items to appropriate parties
  • Correspond with the Quality Control Department to advise of arrival of items that would be pending for Quality Inspection
  • Prepare goods for final shipment according to Customer specification and the organization’s standards ensuring all items are packaged, properly  tagged and protected prior to shipment
  • Requisition and store shipping material to maintain inventory of supplies

Education/Experience: 

 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year prior and/or related experience.

 

Language Ability:

 

  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
  • Communicate and understand job instructions, both verbally and written.

 

Math Ability:

 

  • Basic mathematical computation ability (fractions, percentages, ratios, etc.).

 

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of situations.

 

Computer Skills:

This job does require computer skills

  • Inventory Database

 

Certificates and Licenses:

 

  • Forklift

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
