Job Opportunity: Medical Billing Professionals with DME Experience

Our client, a reputable medical supply company, is seeking several Medical Billing professionals with experience in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing to join their team in Wixom, MI.

Position Details:
Type: Contract-to-hire
Pay Rate: $17-$19/hour (based on experience)
Benefits: Available

Job Summary:
The DME Biller is responsible for maintaining and distributing updated payer information, adhering to established billing procedures for timely collection of open invoices, responding to rejection and error reports, and completing work reports within designated timeframes.

Schedule:
Days: Monday through Friday
Shift: 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 4:30 pm EST
Additional: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of billing and collection activities.
- Work on various reports such as aging reports over 120 days, timely filing reports, credit balance reports, and rejection reports.
- Research and correct rejected claims and post payments.
- Resubmit claims as required with supporting documentation.
- Post payments or rejections received.
- Resolve billing issues with clients.
- Answer telephone inquiries from clients, caregivers, or insurance companies.
- Secure payment for claims by calling payers or working on payer websites.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years of DME billing/coding experience
- Experience in collections of insurance claims
- Background in Medicare and/or Medicaid
- Preferred experience with EDI transmissions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Must conduct oneself in a HIPAA compliant and ethical manner
