Job SummaryWe are seeing a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Attorney to join our law firm. In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft documents, conduct and defend depositions, maintain client contact,  and update and maintain files. Any trial or Appellate experience would also be highly valuable in the position.  You will work closely with clients and  administrative staff, other colleagues, and senior partner to provide excellent legal services to our clients. The ideal candidate is experienced in all litigation phases and would have some knowledge of Spanish to serve our largely Hispanic clientele.  If you are a self-starter with experience in Personal Injury law, we want to hear from you. 

Responsibilities 
  • Develop Case from initial investigation through trial
  • Perform legal research and prepare and argue motions
  • Provide legal advice to clients on all aspects of labor law, premises, and motor vehicle accident claims, 
  • Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records
  • Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school and bar exam
  • Active member of the New York Bar with experience in personal injury law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
