Job Summary:
The Morris Area Childcare Center is committed to providing high quality early childhood learning experiences and care for children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten. We are expanding and looking to hire a full-time preschool lead teacher. Teachers are responsible for providing quality educational experiences for the children in their classroom in a loving and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to communicate with parents, have an understanding of the needs and developmental stages of young children, and be a positive role model for the children in care at MACCC.
Qualifications: must meet DHS Rule 3 Child Care Teacher requirements OR have the desire and ability to complete needed trainings to become teacher qualified. Morris Area Child Care Center will provide assistance in order to complete those trainings.
*high school diploma is necessary for the lead position
*experience working with small children ages 5 and under is necessary
*One of the following is preferred, but not required: Child Development Associate credential, bachelor’s degree in any field, teaching license from the Minnesota Department of Education with or without a kindergarten endorsement, or the willingness to work towards credentials.
