Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description: The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our facilities. The Maintenance- Custodial Worker will be responsible for performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring the premises are presentable and sanitary for all occupants.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Empty and clean waste receptacles, and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness in common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and break rooms.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues observed during cleaning duties.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
  • Follow established safety protocols and use cleaning agents in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of facilities for events or meetings.
  • Notify management of any supplies or equipment that need replenishing.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication skills to report issues and work effectively with team members.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
Education and Training:A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. On-the-job training will be provided.
