Accountant Location: Remote - Must reside in CST or EST time zones

Accountant: $30.00 p/hr

Accountant Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm

What does the Accountant do?

This position is on the Finance MSP - ESRD team in the Medicare Risk Adjustment department which is charged with the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of member COB information for CMS payments. This position will be heavy in telephone and portal look up use as well as data entry. This position will require the use of Microsoft Access forms as well as Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate may have experience with outbound telephone calls and some experience working within Microsoft Access forms as well as other data entry systems.

  • Assist with the consolidation of monthly financial results, load budget data, coordinate completion of unit commentary
  • Perform key tasks related to Accounting systems, assist in their preparation of financial reports and financial analysis, senior management requests
  • Numerous other responsibilities with the Accounting system and consolidation process

Accountant  Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in COB (Coordination of Benefits) or MSP (Medicare Secondary Payor) or Enrollment or Claims processing or Customer Service
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Some financial reporting and data analytics is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree required
  • Remote work experience preferred 
  • 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience preferred
