BlueWave is hiring an Instrumentation Fitter for an aerospace company in Cape Canaveral Florida. As an Instrumentation Fitter, you will be responsible for building new instrumentation and fluid systems. Additional responsibilities and requirements below.

 

Responsibilities:

  • install, maintain, and repair various types of instrumentation equipment used in industrial processes.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout and configuration of instrumentation systems.

  • Assemble and install instrumentation components, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, meters, and gauges.

  • Calibrate and adjust instrumentation equipment to ensure accurate measurements and proper functioning.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in instrumentation systems, utilizing testing equipment and diagnostic tools.

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on instrumentation equipment to prevent unexpected failures and downtime.

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to plan and execute instrumentation installation projects.

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Assembly of valves and demonstrated rebuild

  • Extensive knowledge of pumps and a deep understanding of differences in positive displacement/ centrifugal pumps has aligned pumps to motors, etc

  • Experience with the creation of hoses or temporary connections using hydraulic torquing and crimping tools, proofing experience, or cleaning experience on newly made hoses

  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems, understanding of high-pressure fluids systems, etc
