Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Loves Park, IL. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring that all machinery and systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work with the production team to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and parts.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays.
