Packaging and Filling Machine Operators and Tenders

Packaging (entry-level) - $22

Operator 1 (more experienced) - $25-$28

Operator 2 (less experienced) - $22-$25

About:Pack merchandise to Operate or tend machines to prepare industrial or consumer products for storage or shipment.

Abilities

Manual Dexterity-The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Near Vision-The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Arm-Hand Steadiness-The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

Control Precision-The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.

Oral Comprehension-The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.


Tasks

Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.

Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.

Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn't sticking properly.

Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.

Stock and sort products for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.


Knowledge

Production and Processing-Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.


Skills

Monitoring-Monitoring/Assessing the performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

Operation Monitoring-Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Experience And Education

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); 5+ years of relative experience


Position Type: Temp to Hire

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $22.00 - $28.00/hour.
