 American marketplace for Medicare plans is looking to hire Benefits Consultant.

 

Location: 100% remote  EST, CST, or MST

 

Start Dates:

  • July 8:   
  • July 22:
  • August 5:
  • August 19:

 

 Pay : Hourly base pay + bonuses + full package of benefits

 

  • $19 to $25 /hr Base  on AEP sales experience

 (level 1 $19-21)    (level 2 $21-23)    (level 3 $23-25 only 10 yrs + exp)  

  • 1st year agents make around $75k. Top agents make up to $150k (majority of $ is made during AEP).

 

Schedule  M-F 8am-5pm CST; 9am-6pm EST     FULL TIME only

 

  • Special Seasonal Hours (8-week open annual enrollment period Oct 15th thru Dec 7th): Extended hours will be required (some associates may work 14-hour shifts).
  • Expected to work weekends (required to work the first and last weekend of open enrollment). 

 

 

Position Type: Direct Hire position (W-2 Employee)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily handle inbound calls from consumers interested in saving on their Medicare expenses and optimizing their benefit coverage.
  • Assess and identify insurance needs of company customers over the phone.
  • Effectively educate and sell health insurance plans/products to customers while providing excellent service.
  • Guide consumers through the health insurance policy selection and application process.
  • Maintain call productivity and metrics per goals set.

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of call center Medicare Sales experience (2+ preferred).
  • Must have worked a minimum of 1 annual enrollment period (AEP).
  • Strong understanding of Medicare products.
  • Current health insurance license (in state of residence.)
  • Resides in EST, CST, or MST time zone.
  • High Speed Internet and a quiet home office environment.
  • Sales mindset and a desire to make bonus $.
  • Candidates need to be comfortable selling from the major carriers
  • Patience (most calls are with senior citizens).
  • Able to work full time and mandatory overtime during open enrollment.
  • Sales experience and/or health insurance experience with other companies as well
