SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Primary Function and Scope:
Lead electrical testing in the high, medium, and low voltage testing areas. Directly contributes to product
development, innovations, and regulatory requirements. Support and verify complex test setups and
oversee lab safety to prevent incidents.
Duties Responsibilities:
Testing Responsibilities (Primary Focus):
Able to perform all required testing to support manufacturing, engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements
Maintain test equipment, i.e. calibration, minor repairs/service
Participate/lead strategic equipment upgrades
This position will become the subject matter expert for all electrical testing performed
Participate/lead/sustain 5S activities and support all safety initiatives
Generate and certify test reports
Analyze oil sample results
Analyze test results for failures to determine initial disposition for investigation
Assist in product failure investigations
Partner with design engineers for product improvement
Other Responsibilities:
Active member of Safety Committee Team
Internal 5S auditor
Manage test lab technician schedules
Approve time and attendance
Strategically schedule calibrations of equipment sent off site
Able to work at heights inside controlled environment
Project manage lab improvement activities
Draft and/or approve operating procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required. 10+ years
in management roles. 3+ years test lab experience preferred. Six Sigma certifications preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Must be able to read and understand
engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Knowledge of computer operations and applications required but not limited to;
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and various third party software applications.

fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where
only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form. Wide variety of duties requiring considerable judgment to work
independently such as devising new methods, adapting or changing standard procedures to meet new
conditions, and making decisions guided by precedent and within established policies.
