Blender / Batchmaker

Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables

• Manufactures quality batches according to formula procedures without supervision. Trained in all compounding areas and capable of manufacturing any product without supervision. Demonstrates excellent resourcefulness and initiative; regularly solves problems on his own and completes assignments ahead of schedule. Makes frequent suggestions for processing improvements.
• Coordinate chemicals for upcoming blend process orders based on a planned schedule. Review, blend process orders for accuracy and material weights.
• Operate a forklift.
• Label and fill drums, tote tanks and tank trucks.
• Make complicated blends using liquids, powders, dyes, and waxes.
• Use a wide variety of pumps, mixers, and heated and non-heated mixing tanks.
• Correctly interpret manufacturing batch sheets and fill out manufacturing paperwork and checklists.

Experience:

• 2 + years blending experience is required
• 3 + years blending experience with thorough knowledge of entire product line. Some experience with inventory control systems is preferred
• Experience working with Tanks, valves, mixers, pumps, homogenizers, scales, flow meters, heat exchangers, chillers, pressure hoses, drum tools, PC-based process controls and instruments, SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Shown ability to excel in results-oriented, challenging environment.
• Analytical and decision making skills that integrate technical and business factors.
• Adaptation and flexibility skills to recognize the need for change and to initiate the change process.
