This role will support 2 job sites

  • One in Irwin PA
  • One in Latrobe PA

Main Responsibilities

  • Management of business support and IT by: Operating within the core values and operating principals of the organization, provides real-time technical support and analysis for internal and external business users.
  • Responsible for receiving end-user support requests via phone or email based ticketing system, performing initial troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and accurately documenting and communicating as necessary to resolve issues in a global user community with about 1500 users.
  • Support End User desk side or remotely
  • Troubleshoot network and system problems by responding to trouble calls, performing fault isolation, and restoring service.
  • Works under minimal supervision with guidance in only most complex situations
  • Solves complex problems; takes broad perspective to identify potential solutions
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge and expertise relative to products, systems, programs, and business processes.
  • Proactively works with all roles on the team to provide support as needed to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Identifying and addressing user problems, performs follow-up with users to guide and implement recommended solutions.
  • Handle additional assignments related to area of expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication of technical concepts.
  • Personality characterized by strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple tasks towards an agreed target.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Maintain knowledge on current and new applicable technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows PC/Server operating systems
  • Ability to install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows desktop applications
  • Ability to install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware workstations, peripherals, printers, scanners, copiers, iPhones, and iPads.
  • Ability to lift PC's, Server's etc. as necessary
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical users
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, SCCM, Thin Clients is preferred
  • Knowledge of Oracle Linux Operating System, Oracle, M3, SQL Server is preferred
  • Knowledge of Antivirus support, backup and recovery is preferred

Experience

  • Degree in a relevant field or who has gained equivalent knowledge from previous experience within the fields of IT Support.
  • Previous work with IT service delivery, preferably in a global service desk setting, is considered an advantage

Certifications

  • Computer related certifications such as A+, MCP, or similar a plus

Other Information

  • Travel may be required at times to remote offices
  • Ability to be on call and work weekends when necessary
