Electrical Technician Job Description:

PrideStaff is recruiting for a global leader in search of an Electrical Technician who will work as part of the production team and be responsible for the integration, assembly, testing, crating, packing and shipping of industrial X-Ray systems. 

The ideal Electrical Technician has experience with electrical wiring, and has experience working with BOMS, MRP or ERP systems and PLC/PC Programming and Distributed Control Theory.  The Electrical Technician is a full time, direct hire position in East Haven, CT. 

 

Electrical Technician Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate & Assemble Electrical Control & Safety Circuits For New Equipment & Systems; From Panel Building to Final Wiring, Startup, & Testing 

  • Wiring of Custom Systems to Include Electrical Panel Building, Machine Wiring, Pulling Wire, Terminating, Bending Conduit, Wiring Motors & System Startup & Testing

  • Assist With The Preparation & Debugging of PLC or PC Based Control Programs

  • Perform Tasks in Accordance & Compliance With US & European Standards, Defined Quality Standards, All Related Company Design & Safety Standards & Potentially Standards of Customer’s Home Country 

  • Travel to Customer Sites to Install, Troubleshoot or Repair, & Test Systems Approx 40% of The Time

  • Perform Miscellaneous Duties as Assigned Including Clean Up, Department Organization, Material Movement, & Forklift Operation

  • Provide Mechanical System Integration & Assembly Support

  • Keep Department Clean, Organized Utilizing Material Movement & Forklift Operation

 

Electrical Technician Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 

  • 2+ Years of Hands on Experience in a Manufacturing Environment 

  • Available to Work Extended Hours & Weekends as Workload Requires 

  • Experience Reading Wiring Diagrams, Schematics & Engineering Documentation 

  • Must be Proficient in Cutting, Stripping, Tinning, Crimping Cable, & Harness 

  • Experience With X-Ray Technology Preferred  

  • Previous Experience With MS Word & Excel

  • Excellent Communication & Organizational Skills
