Job DescriptionJob Description

As an Accounting Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. Your primary responsibilities will include:

 

**Client Transactions:** Work with monthly clients to record their business transactions.

**Account Reconciliation:** Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly basis.

**General Ledger Maintenance:** Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.

**Accounts Payable:** Perform all activities related to the accounts payable functions, including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.

**Accounts Receivable:** Handle account receivable functions, including invoicing and deposits.

**Financial Reporting:** Review financial reports monthly to ensure accuracy.

**Compliance:** Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

**Journal Entries:** Record journal entries for sales tax, payroll, depreciation, third-party app fees, and adjusting end-of-year entries.

**Balance Sheet Maintenance:** Maintain assets and liabilities on the balance sheet.

**Local Laws Compliance:** Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements.

**1099 Compilation:** Compile 1099s for applicable parties.

**Internal Administration:** Assist with internal administration work as needed.

 

**Requirements:**

 

- Proven experience as an Accounting Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Online and Desktop.

- High attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

- Ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy.

- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

- Minimum of 3+ years of full charge bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.

 

**Education:**

 

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or equivalent certification/experience.

- High School diploma or G.E.D required.

 

**Compensation:**

 

- Pay is based on performance and experience, ranging from $16 to $18 per hour.

- Wage increases are available based on excellent work performance, obtaining certifications, and improved performance.

- Bonuses are given throughout the year based on performance.
