Histology Technician- Duluth, MN
Location                              : Duluth, MN 55805
Project Duration             : 3+ Months of Contract
               
Job Description:

  • The Histology Technician works with the Histology Technical Specialist as a resource for advanced technical knowledge.
  • Responsible for the performance of repetitive high volume tests in a modern anatomic pathology lab; identify direct causes of problems (technical or instrumental) and make the corrections using present guidelines; monitor quality control procedures within predetermined parameters.
  • Performs immune cytochemical stains on cytologic and histologic specimens and evaluates quality and adequacy of each test.
  • Acts as a resource in the department to help solve quality and technical problems.

 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • ASCP Certification as Histo-Technician (HT) or HTL.
  • Experience with cutting and embedding

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • IHC and Mohs experience
