Job Title: Superintendent/SSHO/QCM

We are seeking an experienced and qualified person to serve as a superintendent/site safety officer/quality control manager to lead and oversee our construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, project requirements, and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the construction project, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project plans, and specifications.

•Coordinate and supervise construction activities, including subcontractor management, scheduling, and resource allocation.

•Preside over and control the contract effort to ensure project success.

•Lead project teams and collaborate with stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives, and deliverables.

•Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.

•Coordinate and oversee all project activities, including subcontractor management, procurement, and construction progress.

•Monitor project performance, track milestones, and manage risks to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.

•Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

•Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.

•Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes.

•Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess project progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.

•Resolve any project-related issues, conflicts, or challenges in a timely and effective manner.

•Attend pre-construction conferences, pre-work meetings, and in-progress meetings to discuss project requirements and address any concerns.

 

Qualifications:

•Possession of an Engineering Degree or Construction Management Degree.

•Have experience working with the federal government contract.

•Alternatively, a verifiable work history of a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Quality Control Manager, specifically in commercial, industrial, state, and/or federal construction contracts with similar trades.

•Completion of the 30-hour Federal OSHA Safety and Health Standards 29 CFR 1910 safety course, including annual refresher courses as required per EM 385-1-1 requirements.

•Completion of CQCM certification.

•Proven work history of at least 5 years as a Site Safety Health Officer.

•Strong knowledge of construction quality control principles, practices, and standards.

•Ability to identify and analyze quality-related problems and implement appropriate solutions.

•Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform thorough inspections and audits.

•Exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.

•Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites within a 15-minute response time.
