Mark T. Wendell Tea Company (www.marktwendell.com) is an Acton, MA gourmet tea company, specializing in the manufacturing, blending, packaging, and shipping of specialty teas and tea related products. This 120-year-old, small, family-run business is seeking a warehouse associate whose responsibilities include:

· Preparation of packages for daily shipment to our customers

· Packaging and labeling various products for warehouse inventory and daily shipments

· Receiving of incoming product shipments and unpacking of warehouse inventory

· Daily clean-up of work area to comply with food-facility health codes

· Other duties as assigned by manager or owner

An ideal candidate must:

· Display solid interpersonal skills and work well in a group or team-based environment.

· Be able to take directions and follow detail-oriented processes.

· Have a flexible demeanor and willingness to vary tasks based on changing workplace needs.

· Be comfortable with the peaks and valleys that accompany working in retail.

· Display strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

· Possess the ability to multi-task.

· Be able to be on their feet for long periods

· Be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs. required)

· Be able to work in an environment with loose teas, which can be dusty at times.

· Have basic computer knowledge and typing abilities.

This position is expected to work for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during standard business hours (8:30-4:30 / day, including a 30 minute lunch). This position reports to the Warehouse Lead. A flexible work schedule will be considered for a qualified applicant.

Previous experience working in a small business (under 10 employees) and / or in a comparable industry is a plus. Positive references are required for consideration. Candidate must be willing to submit to a background check.

Starting compensation is $41,600 per year plus 10 paid time off days (vacation / personal / sick combined) plus 7 paid holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day), plus Fridays off in August.
