Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join out Fortune 500 Power Team Quality Inspectors are responsible for the set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art nondestructive test equipment determining the most effective inspection methods to be used for each specific application.

Pay/Hours

  • 3rd Shift: 11:00PM - 7:30AM
  • Pay will starting at $22/hr, but will be hired in at a higher rate

Essential Duties

  •  Examine material or product for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete welds.
  •  Display competency in eddy current, ultrasonic, radiographic, FPI, visual, and thermographic inspection techniques.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications verifying specified dimensions of parts or material.
  • Test product for structural defects such as leaks or internal cracks.
  • Make judgment on inspection findings and make technical recommendations.
  • Document inspection and report findings to Engineering and assist with technical evaluation of components to include life assessment.
  • Provide technical and financial input on recommendations and process changes.
  • Train new inspectors to ASNT standards.
  • Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts.
  • Ensure product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements.
  • Perform other such duties that may be required.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
