We are seeking a Paralegal to become a part of our team You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.

we are located in Danielsville but we are actively looking to move to Athens.

Looking for an experienced paralegal to help guide our new hire who is a first year paralegal - also someone who has real estate legal closing experience would be required. We use Qualia. We need a paralegal well versed in Family Law and Criminal Law documents, filings, and contracts. This is full cycle paralegal work, we need someone who understands the processes and filing very well. We are also just starting the real estate closing side of our practice, so someone who has a solid background in that process would be required. We are only looking for someone 2-4 days a week (18-32 hr a week, we are flexible),  position will become hybrid (1-2 days in the office a week) after training is finished. Performance bonuses weekly/biweekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to support legal proceedings
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
  • Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Record and store client information
  • Confident and knowledgeable with filing documents, managing attorney court appearance schedule, real estate closings, contested divorces, family law, and criminal law

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
  • Familiarity with legal research
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
