Must Haves:

  • BA in Nursing
  • Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program that is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program (COA) or its predecessor
  • Current Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Current Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists or it predecessor with biannual recertification required
  • AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS required
  • If they are looking for C2H  - OPEN TO NEW GRAD
  • If they are locum  - NEED TO HAVE PEDIATRICS EXPERIENCE

 

Day to Day:

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is a highly skilled and critical member of the healthcare team, specializing in the administration of anesthesia. Working in close collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other medical professionals, the CRNA plays a pivotal role in pediatric patient care, ensuring safe and effective anesthesia management across a diverse range of surgical procedures.

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments, including patient history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic studies.
  • Develop and implement anesthesia care plans, administer pre-anesthetic medication, and secure informed consent.
  • Utilize advanced monitoring techniques to maintain patient stability throughout all surgical phases.
  • Manage patient recovery from anesthesia, providing post-operative care and pain management.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations with proficient airway management and life support interventions.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to uphold high-quality care standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
