Bookkeeper - Office Manager

Youngstown Spray Equipment (YSE) is actively recruiting bookkeeper/office manager to help grow an established family-owned business in its second generation. The successful applicant will be a motivated, self-starter with experience using accounting software such as Quickbooks or NetSuite and a willingness to be part of an up-and-coming company. Bookkeeping duties will include billing/invoicing, maintaining accounting records, payroll, and tax filing. Other duties will include being a first point of contact with phone-in customers/vendors and some social media maintenance.
We are in the process of rebuilding a company with a long history in the area and there are many advancement opportunities for the candidate who wants to grow with us. The successful applicant will be a person comfortable working in a small business in the industrial equipment distribution industry with a clientele that includes contractors and manufacturing companies.
Responsibilities:
- General Bookkeeping/Accounting
- Billing/Invoicing
- Payroll/Sales Tax Filing
- Bank/Credit Card Reconciliation
- Compliance Paperwork
- Issuing/Reviewing Credit Applications
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of mainstream social media platforms (FB, Twitter, etc)
- Bookkeeping/Accounting skills
- Strong Capabilities with Accounting/Bookkeeping Software
- Familiarity with CRM databases a plus
