TITLE OF POSITION: Human Resources Generalist

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is preferred. Equivalent years of service and/or certifications in related fields may be substituted. Must pass KBI, DCF child & adult abuse registry, motor vehicle screen, and background checks. Must have reliable and insured transportation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This role primarily works in an office within the medical clinic, but occasional travel between office locations, recruitment events, training, or professional development is required.

  1. Create and maintain all job descriptions.
  2. Post job openings both internal & external using ADP & other external sites.
  3. Review resumes & applications and send to correct hiring manager, ensuring qualifications and experience meet the job requirements.
  4. Perform required background checks, directing all issues to the Director of Human Resources for review, perform reference checks and phone interviews.
  5. Provide support to all hiring managers in the new hire process.
  6. Ensure all pre-employment processes are fulfilled and accurate before the day of onboarding a new employee.
  7. Coordinate and manage the onboarding process, finding new ways to make the onboarding process run seamlessly and accurately for new hires and hiring managers.
  8. Create offer letters, coordinate candidate information to IT for equipment issuance.
  9. Explaining SEKMHC benefits during onboarding (health insurance, retirement, optional programs, EAP, etc.)
  10. Ensures all required onboarding SEKMHC policy paperwork is signed and ensures compliance with I-9 eligibility.
  11. Create new hire employee profiles in ADP payroll software, Relias training site, and health insurance portal; ensuring the employee has the information for log in.
  12. Schedule and/or perform exit interviews.
  13. Send all required payroll paperwork to Payroll (direct deposit form, W4 & K4, KPERS, etc.)
  14. Manage and maintain all employee personnel files.
  15. Manage & track employee evaluations, send out correspondence via email to employee and hiring manager with instructions on how to complete form and who to send the completed forms to. Send out correspondence via email to new hires for a 1-month check in.
  16. Provide payroll support to employees as needed; answering questions or directing to appropriate payroll staff.
  17. Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring process, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Director.
  18. Maintain and complete updates as needed to SharePoint & ADP home screen.
  1. Run various reports from ADP & Relias as requested or needed for statistical data reporting.
  2. Create new forms as requested or needed.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Exempt

SCHEDULE: Full-Time or Part-Time

SALARY: Per Salary Schedule
