The DMS Hybrid Education Program Director utilizes their expertise to create, uphold, and administer educational offerings for students. This includes maintaining the core curriculum, ensuring its delivery, developing course plans and schedules, supervising staff, and overseeing the program. Additionally, they monitor student progress and attendance, offer guidance to students, and handle grade reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead advisory committee activities for both DMS programs.
  2. Supervise instructional staff, including online instruction, and teach as necessary.
  3. Monitor instructors lesson plans and postings.
  4. Screen applicants for instructional positions.
  5. Conduct necessary in-service trainings.
  6. Review curriculum and textbooks annually with relevant stakeholders.
  7. Evaluate student and externship experiences, employer and graduate feedback.
  8. Assist with new student orientation and advising.
  9. Manage employee and student records in collaboration with registrar and student services.
  10. Ensure compliance with state and accrediting standards and academic policies.
  11. Support student advising initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an Ultrasound Instructor/Technologist/Medical Diagnostic Sonographer.
  • Possession of at least two ARDMS certifications or licenses, including Vascular (RVT), OB/GYN, General ABD.
  • Ability to exemplify professionalism and serve as a role model.
  • Prior experience in online teaching/education is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proficiency in theory, practice, and ongoing study within the field.
  • Technical expertise across all relevant subjects for teaching.
  • Understanding of professional career paths and industry demands.
  • Capability to motivate and inspire students to excel.
  • Demonstrated passion for supporting students in achieving educational and career objectives.
  • Familiarity with Zoom and Canvas platforms is required.
