Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform first-hour duties including, but limited to:
  2. Complete oven process control change card
  3. Check all drawing dies; with special attention to the finish die and lube nozzles for plugging and misdirection.
  4. Change the finish die felt and check the vibration dampener.
  5. Check enamel flow on all ovens.
  6. Inspect Lear heads to make sure they’re on, and the wire is running through the reeds, and verify alignment.
  7. Check bare wire supply.
  8. Report any set deficiencies to your Group Leader or Supervisor
  9. Identify scrap wire with the appropriate documentation. If a determination on the wire cannot be made, the wire should be placed in the disposition square for determination.
  10. ODQ all finished product.
  11. Change lube felts on changeovers, ox jobs, and once per month by plant guidelines or as needed.
  12. Complete all changeovers, conversions, start-ups, and spec/package changes.
  13. Complete operations oven checklists
  14. Correct all red tags, trouble slips, and ODQ issues promptly.
  15. Put downed wires (ox jobs) back on production.
  16. Communicate any maintenance issues to the Group Leader/Supervisor to ensure works orders are written for anything that needs to be repaired.
  17. Change scotch rites in bare wire clamps on required ovens as needed.
  18. Complete all necessary quality tests.
  19. Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
  20. Setup set for next operator/shift.
  21. Truck finished goods and raw material
  22. Follow all safe work instructions and company policies and procedures.
  23. Train Operators as assigned.
  24. All other work-related duties as assigned.
