This Immediate Opportunity is a Trainee position. We are seeking the right candidate to train.
Job Purpose
The Eligibility Case Worker is responsible for the successful completion of clients' Medi-Cal eligibility. This position also requires optimum customer service. Requires strong attention to detail, and the ability to interact with clients. This position is a full-time position and will be responsible for processing applications required to qualify an applicant for Medi-Cal benefits.
Role: This position reports to the CEO and CCO. Will review, process, narrate, and maintain case files for designated clients.
Responsibilities:
- Review, process, narrate, and maintain case files for designated clients.
- Provide consultations to clients and potential clients/applicants regarding Medi-Cal eligibility and processes.
- Complete various forms and applications and make sure information is accurate and current before submission to Medi-Cal offices.
- Acts as a liaison between outside agencies, facilities, and clients/applicants, gathering and relaying information as needed.
- Performs follow-up contact with clients, applicants, outside agencies, and facilities to ensure no barriers exist for successful eligibility and case processing.
- Provide clear and comprehensible instructions for the spend-down process.
- Explain property guidelines as well as income guidelines used to determine the share of costs.
- Send written notices and/or emails to clients/applicants reminding them of requested information.
- Prepare cases for fair hearings as needed; including contacting the hearing department to request or postpone a hearing.
- Update and narrate the appropriate client files and/or spreadsheets into the MCS CRM program and other provided documents related to a client case

- Administrative and advanced writing skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of CRM systems
Required Work Schedule; 4 10's Monday through Thursday- 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
