Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our team Working under the guidance of senior estimating staff, this role contributes to the analysis of costs and the preparation of bids for our commercial construction projects.  Ideal candidate will possess strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering, calculating, and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates.
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction bidding process.
  • Coordinate bid documents to determine project requirements (must have experience with RFIs, Submittals, review of Architectural and Engineering Plans)
  • Manage and ongoing development of company's bidding platform.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures to ensure compliance with all bid documents and regulations.
  • Interface with client and subcontractors, engineers, architects, and internal Estimating and Pre-Construction Departments.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors to receive reasonable bids and ensure accuracy and detail.
  • Assist with Estimating Department Lead on additional construction project requirements.
  • Coordinate Site Walks with client and subcontractors for pre-bid meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in commercial construction bid coordination role (2+ years)
  • Familiarity with construction management software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Commercial construction estimating experience is a plus
