Memco Solutions is looking for a Construction Foreman I for the Douglasville, Ga

Pay: Based on experience $25 - $30/hr

Schedule: Mon - Fri ; some Saturday's

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Foreman to oversee our construction projects and ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction with proven leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise Construction Crew: Lead and manage a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel on-site. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
2. Project Management: Plan and schedule construction activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and projects stay on track. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the construction process. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets specifications and complies with building codes and regulations.
4. Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct regular safety meetings, provide safety training, and address any safety concerns promptly.
5. Material Management: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment needed for construction projects. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies are on hand to avoid delays.
6. Problem Solving: Anticipate and resolve issues that may arise during construction, such as logistical challenges, design changes, or unforeseen obstacles. Implement effective solutions to keep projects moving forward smoothly.
7. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members. Provide regular progress updates, address concerns promptly, and facilitate collaboration among team members.
8. Budget Management: Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure they align with budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drawings.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and problem-solve effectively.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or degree in construction management or a related field.
• OSHA certification or other relevant safety training.
• Experience with construction software and project management tools.
