We have an immediate full-time opening for a licensed Clinical Psychologist at our long-time established and highly regarded private mental health therapy practice.  Seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, licensed, independent contractor to provide in-person mental health service for patients at our location in Port Charlotte location, 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. We serve the elderly, adults, adolescents, children, couples and families. We specialize in treating patients with depression, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss. Your clinical expertise is valued and we empower you to make informed, evidence-based decisions about treatment approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Perform psychological assessments, testing, and evaluation
  • Provide diagnosis based on assessments, testing, and evaluation
  • Develop and recommend treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnosis
  • Provide referrals when necessary for additional care, evaluation, or treatment
  • Collaborate with staff, and other professionals to provide the best care possible
  • Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure all services are completed according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care
  • Must be fully licensed by the State of Florida to provide therapy independently and without supervision
  • Assistance provided for credentialing with major health insurers
  • Practice handles all billing

Qualifications

  • Licensed clinical psychologist in State of Florida
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology degree or Professional Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) degree
  • 3-5 years of related experience in psychology
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong working knowledge of diagnostic techniques and a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong familiarity with assessment techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within ethical and professional standards of care
