Vy Construction is looking to add qualified and experienced carpenters to their team.

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable in exterior trim and siding installation. Basic knowledge of tools, hardware, framing, lumber dimensions and types of lumber. Someone who is safe and proficient on and around the cut table. Someone who is able to work in a professional manner and in a fast paced environment. Someone who works well with others.

Job duties will involve removing and replacing exterior siding and trim. Properly installing weather proofing and flashing. Taking accurate measurements and making precise cuts. Helping set up and breakdown of job sites. Day to day job organization and cleanup.

 

Our requirements:

Applicant must have basic hand tools and tool belt. Some tools that we expect you to have. Tape measure. Smooth faced hammer. Cats paw. Flat bar. Utility knife. Etc.

Some other tools we recommend: Power tools such as, Sawzall, cordless skill saw, cordless multi tool (fine tool), impact and drill are tools that we use on a daily basis. Vy Construction will provide blades for these tools when being used on the job.

Applicant must be comfortable working from extension ladders. A-frame ladders and scaffolding.

We expect for the applicant to have reliable transportation, to be punctual and have good communication.
