Overview:
As a Materials Handler, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of operations within the pharmaceutical production environment. Your responsibilities will include handling commodities, maintaining production line efficiency, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
 
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Line Supervisor to facilitate the timely transfer of commodities to the designated staging areas for scheduled production runs.
Serve as a primary point of contact between Materials Management and Operations, addressing any issues or concerns related to bulk, commodity, or finished product inventory.
Maintain product hoppers on the production lines, ensuring they are adequately stocked to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Adhere strictly to OSHA and AbbVie safety guidelines, including the proper utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).
Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to prevent the introduction of extraneous matter into the packaging process.
Execute the transfer of finished products to the warehouse, ensuring accurate system transactions and proper pallet traceability labelling/documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment that is consistently audit-ready and complies with regulatory standards.
 
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Thorough knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing Pharmaceutical Products, including CFR 210/211 and cGMP.
Preferably, prior experience in a pharmaceutical production environment with a strong understanding of cGMP requirements and procedures.
Certification in operating various powered industrial lifts such as Raymond stand-up forklifts and hand trucks.
Proficiency in basic computer skills, particularly with laptops and RF technology.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
