Key Responsibilities:- Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.- Manage and maintain accurate records of controlled substances.- Oversee and train pharmacy staff to ensure adherence to best practices.- Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage patient care effectively.- Maintain inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages and overstock.- Handle insurance claims processing and reimbursement efficiently.- Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
Job Requirements:- Must - Have: A valid state required pharmacist license. - Must - Have: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.- Preferred: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience is a plus.- Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.- Proficiency with pharmacy management software systems.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:- Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).- Experience with inventory management and cost-saving measures.- Proven track record of managing a pharmacy team effectively
