We are seeking to hire Maintenance Technician II to join our team. The Maintenance Technician II possesses a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance duties and utilizes industry best practices along with defined company procedures to ensure timely completion of projects on our owned and leased properties. The candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands.


Job Functions:

  • Tracks timelines for all phases of projects to meet company established completion deadlines.
  • Establishes respectful working relationships with managers, peers, outside vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Comprehends blueprints, job specifications, and architectural drawings.
  • Work includes new construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance.
  • Assess situations and determine the best course of action.
  • Makes most decisions with minimal or no supervision.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks with limited input from management.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools to accomplish required duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Self-driven and strong leadership skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction, carpentry, repairs and maintenance
  • Working knowledge of the various trades associated with construction project management: plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, HVAC and drywall.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with peers, vendors, sub-contractors, etc.
  • Ability to resolve conflict in professional, timely manner.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must hold a valid drivers’ license.
  • Industry standard licenses and/or certifications a plus.
  • Regular Daily Travel With a work vehicle that is provided from the shop.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain maintenance of all company premises including plowing, landscaping and common area maintenance.
  • Maintain job files to track projects and jobs in the company work order management system.
  • Ensure material availability for the daily maintenance and light repairs.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, at times from overhead locations.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Routinely requires exposure to outside elements including variations of temperature, noise, odors, etc.
  • Must be able to traverse properties and facilities to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
  • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
