Position Summary: Our growing Urology office is recruiting a part time Pre-Authorization Specialist. Successful candidate will be able to efficiently learn and apply new skills. Must have a professional image in the office and in all communications. Must prioritize good patient and staff relations while providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Job Functions: Contact insurance carriers and verify eligibility, pre-authorization requirements, covered services and determine patient financial responsibility. Appropriately document online, coordinate with Revere Health staff, referring physician and/or patient.

Qualifications: 

• Must have excellent customer service skills and communicate professionally both in writing and verbally.
• Experience in medical office front desk and billing practices preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes, familiarity with third party private payor practices, and pre-certification and authorization requirements.
• Must have general computer skills.
• Experience with electronic medical systems is a plus.
• Individual must be attentive to detail, have strong organizational and follow through skills.

Hours: Monday 1:00P-5:00P, Wednesday 8:00A-5:00P, occasional Friday mornings
