We are looking for Industrial Electricians for work in Lakeland, FL.  Looking for individuals with 5+ years of experience.   Must have reliable transportation. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Maintenance: Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, motor control centers, transformers, generators, and other industrial equipment.

  2. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in machinery, equipment, and control systems. Utilize testing equipment to identify issues and implement necessary repairs promptly.

  3. Electrical Upgrades: Upgrade and retrofit existing electrical systems to meet safety standards, improve energy efficiency, or accommodate changing production needs.

  4. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations. Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and hazardous situations.

  5. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs effectively.

  6. Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of electrical systems and equipment.

  7. Collaborate with Maintenance Teams: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and production personnel to troubleshoot and address electrical issues impacting production schedules.

  8. Testing and Calibration: Conduct tests and calibrate electrical systems and instruments to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.

  9. Electrical System Design: Assist in the design and layout of new electrical systems and control panels as needed.

  10. Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect electrical equipment and systems for signs of wear, damage, or potential failures, and take appropriate action.

  11. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems is highly preferred.

  2. Licensing: Possession of a valid electrician's license or journeyman certification, as required by local regulations.

  3. Experience: Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or in a similar electrical maintenance role within industrial settings.

  4. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components used in industrial environments. Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.

  5. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.

  6. Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, climb ladders, and lift heavy equipment.

  7. Safety Consciousness: Commitment to safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment.

  8. Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and convey technical information clearly.

  9. Adaptability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, to accommodate production schedules and respond to emergencies.
