Pathologist Assistant

Location: New York, NY 10065

Hours/Shift/Days: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (flexibility available)

 

About the Role:

Are you an experienced Pathologist Assistant seeking a new opportunity in a fast-paced environment? Winston is currently seeking a skilled Pathologist Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent placement. This role offers the flexibility of virtual work and requires individuals experienced in handling high-volume, complex oncology specimens. If you thrive in dynamic environments and possess the necessary skills and qualifications, we want to hear from you

 

Responsibilities:

· Work with large, complex surgical resection specimens in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

· Manage complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

· Make timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

· Take on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

· Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of unique needs to different audiences.

· Adapt approach and demeanor in real-time to match the shifting demands of different situations.

Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science from a Pathologist Assistant Program (Master’s preferred).

· At least 3 years of experience in grossing large surgical resections.

· Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and computer proficiency.

· ASCP Certification strongly preferred.

· New York State Pathologists’ Assistant License (required).
