Job Summary: Operating Room Nurse (Plastic Surgery) ***MUST HAVE SCRUB EXPERIENCE*** 

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Nurse to join our dynamic team in a plastic surgery setting. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures. Your expertise in surgical nursing and your dedication to patient care will contribute to the success of our surgical team.

Responsibilities:
1. Scrub in surgery, sterile processes, instrument handoff, Preoperative Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to surgery, including medical history review, vital sign monitoring, and verifying consent forms.
2. Surgical Preparation: Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile.
3. Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for surgery by assisting with preoperative procedures such as positioning, draping, and administering medications as directed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist.
4. Intraoperative Support: Provide skilled assistance to the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
5. Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to anesthesia throughout the surgical process, documenting findings accurately and promptly.
6. Postoperative Care: Provide postoperative care and monitoring to ensure patients recover safely from surgery, including assessing for complications, managing pain, and promoting optimal healing.
7. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about postoperative care instructions, potential risks, and signs of complications, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for the recovery process.
8. Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and optimal surgical outcomes.
9. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to established protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements related to patient safety, infection control, and surgical practices.

Qualifications:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in SC
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3. Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) or plastic surgery nursing (PSNCB) desirable.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical nursing, preferably in a plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery setting.
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
8. Commitment to upholding high patient care, safety, and professionalism standards.
