Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Rodbuster to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in reinforcing steel and iron work, and a strong understanding of construction practices and safety procedures. This role involves the installation and assembly of rebar and wire mesh in concrete forms to reinforce structures such as buildings, bridges, and roads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reinforcement Installation: Accurately place and secure rebar, steel mesh, and post-tensioning cables in concrete forms to reinforce structures.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Cutting and Bending: Cut, bend, and shape rebar using hand tools, cutting torches, and bending machines to fit specifications.
• Assembly: Assemble and tie rebar cages and mats using wire and pliers, ensuring stability and conformity to design.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, wearing appropriate protective gear and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, including ironworkers, carpenters, and concrete finishers, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Inspection: Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Rodbuster or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans. Skilled in the use of rebar bending and cutting tools.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm with mandatory overtime if needed depending on production needs.
