Licensed Optician

Great opportunity Well-established Optometry practice in Mission Viejo is now seeking a qualified, experienced optician / optical coordinator to join our wonderful team

We are excited to offer this full-time optician position to candidates interested in a long-term career in a private optometry practice. Candidates should have at least 2 years of current optician experience, posses a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor, and excel at patient care. ABO License & NCLE preferred. Candidates will enjoy working as a team with our optometrist and other colleagues in a professional, positive environment.

Duties Include:

-Proficiency in all aspects of optical sales, from frame styling to dispensing

-Oversee optical department inventory, claims submissions, invoice submission to AP department, sales & use tax management, and other department oversight

-Proficiency in contact lens sales, training, and dispensing

-Familiarity with Vision plans including VSP, Mes, CalOptima and others

-Knowledge of eligibility verification and claims submission

-Proficiency in frame repairs and adjustments

-Frame and lens ordering, inventory, and maintenance

-Computer skills

- Bilingual in Spanish is REQUIRED

Position Details:

Full-time. Approximate hours 40/week. Must be available Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm and Fridays 9:00am-2:00pm.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
