Job Overview:

BJ CAAS Advisors is seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team in Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. As a Truck Driver with our company, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations while adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Operate and drive a commercial truck (tractor-trailer, box truck, etc.) to transport goods between destinations in Michigan and neighboring states.
  • · Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • · Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage.
  • · Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, fuel receipts, and other relevant documentation.
  • · Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including those related to safety, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance.
  • · Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that arise.
  • · Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications:

  • · Valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • · Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional truck driver.
  • · Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
  • · Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • · Very Responsible
  • · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • · Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • · Flexible schedule, including contingency, and willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • · Experience with small box truck.
  • · Familiarity with GPS and route planning software.
  • · MDOT physical.
  • · CDL (Preferred)
