TIG Welders are responsible for welding cold rolled, stainless steel, and aluminum used to manufacture solid state lighting fixtures.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate TIG welding equipment
- Determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces
- Perform quality inspections of parts to produce products
- Stage completed product of skids
- Act responsibly; maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Advanced Welding certification or degree from accredited school is strongly preferred
- Previous TIG welding experience with specific knowledge of heat settings and speeds
- Experience working with sheet metal, mild steel/stainless steel/aluminum a strong plus
- Dimensional measuring and simple math competence; Basic computer skills
- Prior experience using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools
- Proven ability to read and understand blueprints
