The Senior Engineer will provide, product/systems service to KraftPowercon’s customers, operational management in KraftPowercon’s assembly center, and technical sales responsibility for cutting-edge AC to DC power electronic rectifier systems. The main duties of the position are: (i) Manage and perform service engineering activities (Do-er/Coach role), (ii) to manage operating activities at KraftPowercon’s assembly center; (iii) Perform proposal management, project management, and technical sales activities for KraftPowercon’s Hydrogen rectifier business:

 

(this position is NOT Computer, IT related or Software Engineering)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Service engineering responsibility includes providing on-site or remote customer service but is not limited to start-up, commissioning, on-site validation, troubleshooting, repair, and root-cause analysis of KraftPowercon Rectifier Systems. Act as the point person between customers and cross-functional KraftPowercon work teams
  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of service engineering in the following areas: expertise, process, programs, service contracts, training personnel, and service business revenue and profitability
  • KraftPowercon’s assembly center responsibility: Manage daily end-to-end operating activities at KraftPowercon assembly center, including but not limited to building, servicing, and delivering power electronic rectifier systems
  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of operations in the following areas: delivery, quality, inventory management, assembly capacity addition, process, and training personnel.
  • Proposal management, Project management, and technical sales activities for KraftPowercon’s rectifier business including but not limited to Preparing proposals, and sales presentations, and perform product/service demonstrations, and acting as a customer-facing technical salesperson. Interface with cross-functional work teams such as application engineers, service engineers/technicians, assemblers, manufacturing team, and sales to ensure quality deliverables to customers – proposals, and projects.
  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of proposal and project management in the following areas: technical expertise, efficiency while scaling proposal and project delivery, and customer and prospect communications.

Qualifications Required:

  • BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent successful experience in a similar industry role
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering roles related to AC to DC power electronic rectifier systems, and hands-on experience in hardware in low voltage and/or medium voltage electrical equipment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites in the US and Canada, and globally.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and to adapt quickly to change
