One of our client is looking for a Medical Assistant who plays a crucial role in healthcare settings, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth operations in medical offices, clinics, and hospitals. 
Here are the key roles and responsibilities:

1. Clinical Duties:
Taking Patient Histories: Collecting medical history and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse).
Preparing Patients for Examination: Assisting patients by explaining procedures and making them comfortable.
Assisting with Examinations: Helping doctors during patient exams and medical procedures.
Administering Injections and Medications: Giving vaccines, injections, or medications under a doctor's direction.
Performing Lab Tests: Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, conducting basic lab tests.
Dressing Wounds: Cleaning and bandaging wounds, removing stitches, or changing dressings.
Sterilizing Medical Equipment: Ensuring instruments are properly cleaned and sterilized.
Conducting ECGs and Other Diagnostics: Performing electrocardiograms (ECG) or other diagnostic tests as needed.

2. Administrative Duties:
Scheduling Appointments: Managing the appointment calendar, handling patient scheduling, and ensuring patient flow.
Answering Phones and Emails: Communicating with patients, answering queries, and relaying messages to doctors.
Handling Medical Records: Managing patient medical files, updating records, and ensuring confidentiality.
Billing and Coding: Assisting with medical billing, insurance claims, and coding for procedures.
Greeting and Registering Patients: Checking in patients and verifying insurance information.

3. Patient Communication:
Educating Patients: Explaining treatments, procedures, or medications to patients.
Providing Emotional Support: Offering reassurance and comfort to patients before and after procedures.
Following Up: Assisting with patient follow-ups, ensuring they understand post-treatment care instructions.
Medical Assistants help maintain a smooth workflow in a medical office by handling both patient care and administrative tasks efficiently.
