Cleaning Associate

Primary Responsibilities

  • To be depended on to arrive at work at the prescribed time each day, with knowledge that tardiness and absences from work will place hardship on fellow employees and disrupt client cleaning schedules.
  • Perform various cleaning activities, to include cleaning bathrooms, bathroom fixtures, showers and tubs, and including mopping floors, cleaning kitchens, vacuuming carpets, dusting, polishing and other cleaning-related activities in accordance with instructions given by the Manager.
  • Report any broken items, accidents or injuries promptly to the Manager.
  • Secure premises, including locking doors and windows, and activating alarms, without letting pets out.
  • Report any security or safety violations to the Manager immediately.
  • Report any maintenance problems e.g., toilets and other water fixtures to the Manager immediately.
  • Wear appropriate attire and protective equipment in accordance with the job you are performing.
  • Learn specific cleaning techniques of the agency based on time and motion.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as requested by the Manager.
  • Understand and adhere to safety procedures as established by the agency.
  • Drive to specified locations when requested and clean and maintain agency vehicle if used.
  • Communicate effectively with HSH employees and clients.

· Promotes Harbor House/Home Sweet Home mission, values and goals.

· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Home Sweet Home Manager, Operations Director and/or the CEO.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma.

· Have no more than two (2) convictions for moving violations in last three (3) years.

· Completed Drug and Alcohol Training.

· Complete Passenger Safety Training.

· Has acceptable background check with no convictions of a felony

· Good organizational skills.

· Able to communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and their parents/guardians.

· Has valid driver’s license.

Has auto insurance that is currently in force

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $15.00 per hour
