Problem Solving & Complexity:
The most complex feature of this accounting position is the ability to work in various currencies and apply added factors of duties, transportation, exchange rates, and packaging to directly compare pricing for raw material categories worldwide. The analyst will have to work with all levels of the organization including operations, purchasing, and R&D to facilitate raw material testing and comparisons that will help the company to take appropriate raw material decisions. Perhaps most challenging are the direct comparisons within our systems and making certain the information is consistent. Simply reproducing system information is not acceptable.
Decisions that need to be referred to others include discrepancies in the data that relate to systems. These need to be addressed and corrected for better data retrieval. Also, the Analyst may need to refer to more technical sources for proper comparison of different materials that may or may not be similar.
This is an onsite role with potential for hybrid schedule. The Plant Accountant reports to the Head of Margin Analysis. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, education and location.
