Stamping Set-Up Operator

Summary
The Stamping Set-Up Operator is responsible for the daily set-up and operation of producing the highest quality of stamped parts. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up & operate machines to inspect, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metals.
- Perform quality inspections on first article and finished product using typical quality measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, comparator, thread/pin/plug gauges, etc.
- Complete required safety training and adhere to required safety rules for safe machine operations
- Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
- Any duties assigned, as needed.
- High School Diploma / G.E.D
- 5+ years related work experience and/or training - setting up Stamping machines
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to use Micrometers, calipers, and scales
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Work up to 9 hours in manufacturing environment
- Walk/stand on concrete floor, as the job requires, for up to 9 hours
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
- Safeguard self with personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Use of cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties in accordance with all safety rules.
