 Laborer (Dirt), Heavy Equipment Operator, Pipe Layer  

 

If you’re a hard worker and have experience as a laborer, and/or heavy equipment operation, and/or pipe laying you may qualify

 

We are seeking reliable laborers at all levels, heavy equipment operators and pipe layers to join our growing excavating company. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential to this position. We are a stable and growing excavation construction company that provides a great opportunity to prove your skill set and join a growing team.

 

Responsibilities

 

Levels earth to fine grade specifications.

Maintain a clean job site-pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.

Set up and take down of equipment .

Load/unload trucks and haul/hoist materials.

 

Responsible for operating heavy equipment Excavator, Loader or Skid Steer used in construction and concrete industries.

Dozer experience is a plus.

Building envelope excavation to grade, compaction, driveway, grade, culvert installation, rough grading, backfills, and set coordination.

Lay pipes, responsible for crew lays; joins, align, wrap, and seal pipe sections.

Install sewer, water and storm drainpipes using pipe laying machinery and laser guidance equipment.

Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations and compact and level earth to grade.

Use pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery and equipment.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Three (3) plus years of experience with front end loaders, dozers, graders/scrapers, articulated dumps, skid steers and backhoes, dozer is a plus

 

Two (2) years of experience in underground pipe laying

Knowledgeable of pipe laying techniques

 

High school diploma or G.E.D. Required

Have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines

Attention to detail

Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift 75 pounds

Positive attitude and work ethic

Proven experience in similar operations

English is required / Spanish is an added asset

Must be able to work on all outdoor elements

Must have three verifiable business references

Clean Driving Record
