Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking a Benefits Analyst for one of their clients, a large healthcare facility based in downtown Chicago, IL. This is an in-office, contract position, paying $25-28/hour (depending on experience).

 

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Benefits Analyst to join the Human Resources team. The Benefits Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the ACA clean up process, administering employee benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits
  • Assist in the Affordable Care Act clean up
  • Work with the team to improve processes
  • Process enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefits systems
  • Monitor benefits eligibility and ensure compliance with plan documents and regulations
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors, including insurance carriers and retirement plan administrators
  • Prepare and distribute communications to employees regarding benefits programs
  • Assist employees with questions and issues related to their benefits
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare reports on benefits utilization, costs, and trends
  • Participate in benefits-related projects and initiatives, such as open enrollment and plan design changes
  • Stay informed about changes in benefits regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related role
  • Knowledge of benefits regulations, including ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (a multichoice assessment will be required at time of submission)
  • Experience with Peoplesoft, preferred
